LANSING, Mich. (WILX)- The national survey on drug use and health says some children are already using drugs. Some of them are as young as twelve and thirteen years old and it’s not hard to get them.
Jodi Switalski suggests parents locking them away where they are only accessible to you.
“They need to go out and they need to get a prescription safe. They need to lock up all of their prescription medications. Kids won’t use it if they can’t get it,” she said.
The president and C.O.O of Solo Technology Holdings, Mitchell Danzig, which created the iKeyp safe said you can use the prescription safe to protect your medication using your phone and internet.
“So if anyone touches your safe, either puts in your correct code, which opens the safe, put in the incorrect code or backup key, or tamper with it, you’ll get an alert to your phone,” he said.
It’s tech savy, but safer than your regular medicine cabinet.
